Terms of service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
By accessing or using Offliner (the "Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least thirteen years old to use Offliner. If you are between thirteen and eighteen, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. What the Service is
Offliner is a mobile application designed to help you manage your relationship with social media and digital devices. It includes screen time measurement and reporting, app blocking and daily limits, focus sessions and schedules, streak and progress tracking, and educational content about digital wellbeing.
4. Important disclaimers
This is not medical advice. Offliner is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. It is a self help tool and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, psychological assessment, counselling or treatment.
This is not therapy. Offliner draws on ideas from behavioural science and from cognitive behavioural therapy, but using the app does not constitute therapy and does not create a therapist and client relationship. If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a qualified professional.
When to seek help from a professional. You should seek professional support if your phone or social media use is causing significant distress or is interfering with your work, studies or relationships, if you are experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety, if your digital habits are affecting your physical health, or at any point if you are having thoughts of harming yourself. In that last case please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line in your country rather than relying on an app.
5. Your responsibilities
If the Service ever involves an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential, for activity that takes place under your account, and for telling us promptly about any unauthorised use.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, not to attempt to bypass or circumvent its security features, not to reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, not to use the Service to harm, harass or deceive anyone, and not to access the Service through automated systems.
7. Intellectual property
The Service and its original content, features and functionality are owned by Offliner and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.
8. Subscriptions and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing you agree to pay the associated fees. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date, which you do through your Apple ID settings rather than through us. Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store policy, since Apple is the merchant of record for all purchases.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Offliner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or use, arising out of or in connection with the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Warranty disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non infringement.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service without prior notice where these Terms have been breached. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and, if you have one, cancelling your subscription through the App Store.
12. Changes to these terms
We may modify these Terms. Where a change is significant we will give notice through the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the modified Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
